Ingredients

  • 1 Can store-bought biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 C. Maple Better Butter (1 package)
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola oil)

Directions

  • Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Use a small round cutter (or the cap of a bottle) to cut out the center of each biscuit to create donut shapes. Save the centers to make donut holes.
  • In a large, deep skillet or pot, heat about 2 inches of oil over medium heat to 350°F. Use a thermometer to maintain the temperature.
  • Carefully add a few donuts to the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the skillet. Fry until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Repeat with the remaining donuts and donut holes.
  • While the donuts are cooling slightly, melt the Maple Better Butter in a small saucepan over low heat or in the microwave until smooth and runny.
  • Dip each warm donut and donut hole into the melted maple butter glaze, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  • Place on a wire rack to allow the glaze to set.
