your taste preference.Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Servings: 6

Ingredients:

  • 1 Sheet of store-bought puff pastry, thawed according to package instructions
  • 4 Tbsp. Honey Better Butter
  • 3 Medium apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
  • 1/4 C. Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. Ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the puff pastry into 6 even squares and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, toss the thinly sliced apples with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  4. In a small mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.
  5. Sprinkle about half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the prepared baking sheet, equally spaced apart 9 times.  This will create a caramelized base for your puff pastry fillings.
  6. Lay the thinly sliced apples on top of the cinnamon-sugar mixture in a single layer, arranging them close together.
  7. Place each puff pastry square on top of the ingredients. Using your fingers, gently press the pastry around the filling to remove any air. Using a fork, press the sides of the pastry around all the edges to seal it closed. Repeat this for the remaining pastries.
  8. Carefully spread the Honey Better Butter evenly over the puff pastry.
  9. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture over the Honey Butter layer.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the puff pastry is golden brown and the apples are tender and caramelized.
  11. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the upside-down puff pastry to cool for a few minutes.
  12. Flip each pastry and set onto a serving platter.
  13. Serve the puff pastry with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.

Note: You can customize this recipe by adding a sprinkle of chopped nuts (such as walnuts or pecans) over the apples before baking for an extra crunch and flavor. Additionally, feel free to adjust the amount of Honey Better Butter and cinnamon-sugar mixture to suit
